The ENVE Alloy Road Hub combines a strong machined hub shell with high-quality components to deliver exceptional performance and minimal maintenance. This rim-brake specific alloy hub has been developed over five years to ensure an excellent ride experience and low weight. Manufactured entirely in ENVE's Utah headquarters, the hub shell is machined from a forged billet with geometry designed to create a responsive and stiff wheel. The hub flange features paired spoke holes, allowing for weight reduction and improved bracing angles for enhanced drive stiffness and efficiency.The hub's axles have been designed by ENVE and feature the Perfect Preload system. This system ensures consistent bearing pre-load, eliminating play and reducing premature wear. The hub also includes custom stainless steel bearings and races, which have been tested to outperform ceramic bearings. These components, along with full-contact bearing seals, ensure smooth rolling and require minimal servicing.The hub's freehub body is made from durable 7075 alloy and anodized to reduce cog bite. It features a 40-tooth, nine-degree ratchet design for exceptional drive response under power.
