The ENVE Alloy Road Disc Hub combines a durable machined hub shell with high-quality components for excellent performance and minimal maintenance. Developed over five years, this alloy hub is designed specifically for disc brakes and weighs just 126g in the front and 250g in the rear. With Centerlock compatibility and a six-bolt adapter included, it is suitable for disc-equipped road, gravel, or CX bikes.The hub shell is machined from a forged billet at ENVE's Utah headquarters, resulting in a responsive and optimally stiff wheel. The paired spoke hole setup in the hub flange allows for weight reduction while improving drive stiffness, efficiency, and ride feel.The hub's axles have been designed from the ground-up by ENVE and feature the Perfect Preload system. This system includes a calibrated wave washer and a snap ring to optimize bearing preload and eliminate play. The hub also features custom premium stainless steel bearings and races, which outperform ceramic bearings in lab tests and are ideal for British riding conditions. Full-contact bearing seals on the outboard faces and non-contact seals on the internal faces improve rolling efficiency, ensuring smooth performance without the need for servicing.The proprietary freehub body is made from strong 7075 alloy and anodized to reduce cog bite. The innovative 40-tooth, nine-degree ratchet design with a single spring provides excellent drive response under power. Additionally, a removable rubber gasket allows for changes in freewheel sound.
