Bianchi is the longest-standing bicycle manufacturing company in the world;

Edoardo Bianchi established the company in 1885 and it continues to excel to this day.

Bianchi pioneered the use of equal-sized wheels with pneumatic tyres as well as the front wheel calliper brake.

The celeste colour traditionally used on Bianchi bikes has come to be known as 'Bianchi Green'

and there are contrary myths as to how this trade-mark colour came about;

one myth claims celeste is the colour of the Milan sky, another says it was

the colour of the eyes of the queen for whom Bianchi made a bicycle and

that it was the product of a mixture of surplus military paint!
